A wee bit
about me.

I’m Laura Burton and I’m a passionate and creative graphic designer based in my hometown, Glasgow. I started out education with art and design as my main focus. I was seizing any creative opportunity, including gaining an Advanced Higher in Product Design among multiple other creative qualifications. I developed my skills and chose to study Visual Communication at Cardonald College (now Glasgow Clyde) and gained my HND with high marks.

After college, I decided to venture out and I moved to Dundee, where I studied Graphic Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. After creating some weird and wonderful projects, I somehow managed to graduate, and university threw me out into the ‘big bad world’. During my first year as a fresh graduate, I gained some extremely valuable experience in my role as Junior Graphic Designer at Soapbox Design and Print. There, I gained an SVQ 6 in Digital Marketing and was trained in Digital Printing and using finishing machines. Once I decided it was time to progress my career, I moved to the PR and Media industry and I am now working with an agency in Edinburgh, Orbit Communications as a Junior Graphic Designer.
